At TEDxLinz, we focus on Ideas, not fame. We seek individuals from all walks of life who have something important to share. Whether you’re an expert , artist, entrepreneur, or just have a fresh perspective, if you have an idea worth spreading, we want to hear from you.
We value the following principles when selecting speakers:

Authenticity: We celebrate genuine stories and diverse perspectives that connect with people on a personal level.

Credibility: We prioritize well-researched and substantiated content. Whether you're a professional or self-taught, your idea should be based on solid information, and there should be a clear reason to you, why you are the right person to tell this idea.

Novelty: We’re looking for innovative ideas that inspire change and can resonate globally, regardless of their origin.

Integrity: TEDxLinz is about ideas, not self-promotion. We believe in sharing ideas that contribute to positive change, without any commercial interests. The main motivation for stepping on our stage has to be to give something to the audience rather than focusing on what one gets back from contributing.
Our curation team works closely with speakers to ensure their talks align with TED’s high standards and resonate with our audience. If you have an idea that can inspire, challenge, and connect people, we’d love for you to step onto our stage.
Speaker Nomination - Application

We offer several ways for you to get involved in the TEDxLinz speaker nomination process:
Discovery Call
Want to discuss your idea more personally? No matter if you are just "flirting" with the idea of becoming a speaker or if you already feel to have a solid proposal - or anything in between - book a spot with our speaker curator to dive deeper into your concept and see how it aligns with the TEDxLinz vision. We confirm a maximum of 3 registered potential speakers for each call. Although not mandatory, during the call, each speaker will have the option to directly pitch your idea, which we can record and keep as your formal application.
Festival of Curiosity
Join us live on Saturday, May 24th at the Festival of Curiosity, where you can present your idea in person and directly apply through a recorded pitch. The TEDxLinz curation team will be present and offering a slot on Saturday morning and a second during the afternoon. You can come spontaneously and apply, but please bear in mind that we can only assure a spot for those who registered and receive a confirmation from us.

The preferred discovery call dates are once a month, always on a Friday at 20:00, with the upcoming sessions on Friday, May 23rd, June 13th, and Friday, July 18th.

Being selected as a TEDxLinz speaker is just the beginning. Our dedicated coaching team will support you in refining your talk, ensuring it resonates with our audience and adheres to TED's standards. Your final presentation will be featured on the TEDx YouTube channel, reaching 40+ million subscribers worldwide.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxLinz, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxLinz event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.
