What is a Play Personality?Just as people have different preferences in everyday life, they also have specific preferences when it comes to play. These Play Personalities describe the different types of play that bring people joy, creativity, and a sense of well-being. Where can I find the Play Personality quiz?There are QR codes all around the area. You can also follow the link. The Play Personalities are listed on Rollups at our Playground and here in the FAQ above!

How does the quiz work?Everyone is invited to complete the Play Personality quiz at the TEDxLinz event. The quiz consists of 6 multiple-choice questions and takes about 3 minutes. The result of the quiz will then show your individual Play Personality. Are you curious? Then start the quiz here.

How does the raffle work?At the TEDxLinz event you are going to find out your individual play personality. Additionally, you’ll find different stations where you can try out fun challenges - both for your own personality type and all the others. It’s a great way to learn, explore, and connect! Collect 4 stamps from different coloured stations on your name badge and you’ll qualify for our exciting raffle! You have the chance to win a ticket for the next TEDxLinz event 2025! Stay until the end of the event to find out if you have won!

Am I just one Play Personality?No, the human personality and psyche are complex and your result is only a tendency that represents a small part of your talents. You can put these to the test during the activities at the TEDxLinz event and broaden your horizons.

What theory is the quiz based on?The Play Personality is a concept developed by Dr. Stuart Brown of the National Institute for Play that refers to the unique ways individuals engage in and enjoy playful activities. They are slightly adapted based on his book “Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul”.

What time does the event start, when are the gates open?We are happy to welcome you at 9 am. The first talks start at 10 am. By that time everybody should already be comfortably seated and provided with breakfast and coffee, first come first serve! We offer delicious breads from Brotsüchtig, savoury homemade spreads and sweet Granola Creme, paired with Fairtrade coffee! The last talks will end at 18.40. Enjoy the evening with a drink or two from Linzer Bier!

How do I get to the event?To get to Tabakfabrik Linz | LÖSEHALLE, Peter-Behrens-Platz 8, 4020 Linz We recommend Public Transport Bus lines which stop next to the Tabakfabrik: 12 (Stop: Parkbad), 25 (Stop: Parkbad) 26 (Stop: Lüfteneggerstraße) 27 (Stop: Lederergasse) Travel time is about 20 minutes from Linz main station. Linz AG Timetable Information We recommend Walk or Bike It is only a 20-minute walk or 6-minute bike ride from the main square. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings by the Danube and come and relax with us. Car / Parking Short-term parking zones as well as paid parking spaces in the inner courtyard of the Tabakfabrik and underground car parks (Parkbad, Medicent) can be found nearby.

What can I expect?3 performers live on stage We're just telling you, it will get you going. vegan & vegetarian Food & Drinks From a vegan lunch to snacks such as chocolates and popcorn, everything is included. Of course there is also coffee ;-) Green Event We take care of our environment and people. We therefore pay special attention to accessibility and reduce our footprint as much as possible. 12 speakers live on stage 10+ speakers from art, science, technology, business and more will inspire you in 18 min. talks.

I have an allergy or intolerance, what can I eat?Most of our food is vegan and some is vegetarian. We do our best to provide you with the best quality and have all the Allergens listed in the food section and on the labels of the buffet! If you are still unsure - approach our catering staff!

My questions are not answered, what do I do?If something is unclear or you need help, you can ask a member of the TEDxLinz team. You can recognize us from our TEDxLinz T-Shirts and our big smiles! Don't hesitate to ask us anything you are unsure about, we're here for you and do our best to help!
